The Manipal Assisted Reproduction Centre (MARC) at KMC Manipal, a leading name in infertility treatment in India, is set to broaden its reach with the launch of a new infertility care facility at Dr TMA Pai Hospital in Udupi, effective July 25. This strategic move is designed to make advanced reproductive healthcare more accessible to couples in the Udupi region.
The new facility will provide a comprehensive suite of infertility services, including evaluations for male fertility, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), fertility preservation, and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). Patients will receive the same high standard of expertise and individualized care that MARC is renowned for, ensuring a seamless fertility journey.
Dr. Shashikiran Umakanth, the medical superintendent of Dr TMA Pai Hospital, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “We are excited to introduce specialized infertility care services at our hospital. Our mission is to improve access to top-quality reproductive healthcare for individuals and couples looking to start or expand their families. The new facility will feature a skilled team from MARC, dedicated to delivering compassionate and effective treatment.”
Initially, the Udupi MARC center will provide fertility evaluation and counseling during evening hours. It will also offer medical and surgical management for infertility issues and IUI procedures. For advanced treatments, patients will be referred to the primary MARC center in Manipal. The new facility will benefit from the expertise of Dr. Prashanth Adiga, head of the clinical fertility team, and Dr. Satish Adiga, leader of the embryology team.
