Women with ovulation disorders may not release eggs regularly or at all. IVF can help by using medications to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, which are then retrieved and fertilized in the lab.

Tubal Factor Infertility

If a woman’s fallopian tubes are blocked or damaged, sperm cannot reach the egg. IVF bypasses the fallopian tubes entirely, as fertilization occurs outside the body.

Endometriosis

IVF for Male Infertility

Low Sperm Count

Men with low sperm count may benefit from Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), a procedure where a single sperm is injected directly into an egg. This technique is often used in conjunction with IVF.

Poor Sperm Motility

Sperm motility refers to the sperm‘s ability to swim. Poor motility can prevent sperm from reaching and fertilizing the egg. ICSI, used in IVF, can overcome this issue by injecting sperm directly into the egg.

Azoospermia
